Sandi went to Spirit surrounded by friends and family at the 100 Mile hospital after an unexpectedly swift battle with cancer.
Sandi was born in Weston, ON. She moved to BC shortly after graduating high school and soon began her career of over 40 years as a counselor, advocate, mentor and teacher. Sandi was very spiritual, instilling connections to the land and local Indigenous culture long before discovering her Mi'kmaq heritage. Sandi was gifted at healing, gardening, cooking and nurturing relationships and we are all so lucky that she loved to share her gifts.
Sandi was received in Spirit by her parents Jacob and Mary Scott, her first husband Dave, her brother David and her cherished Elders Paul Hudon and Bonnie Hutton.
Sandi is missed by her husband Norm, her children Irene, Jake (Danielle), Jasmine (Mike) and Dylan (Kimiko), her 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, her siblings Tom (Bev), Ken (Sherrie), and Janice (Kim) and her many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and the wonderful friends who were her chosen family.
