September 18, 2021
It is with great sadness that the family of Phyllis Jean Malloy, announce her passing on the morning of September 18th 2021.
Phyllis Jean fought a hard battle with cancer that spanned several months.
A celebration of her life to follow in late spring at her favourite place in the world, Puntzi Lake, B.C.
The family asks in lieu of flowers to please donate in her memory to the Red Cross or your favourite animal shelter
Phyllis & Ken Giles were the founders of Cariboo House of Hose & Belting 2000-2016. Ken predeceased Phyllis, with his passing from a long battle with cancer in 2013. When CJS Services merged the companies, Phyllis was instrumental in transitioning Cariboo to CJS.
Many will remember her cheery telephone voice and her dry-wit and wicked sense of humour, but seriously her ability to remember customers part numbers from memory was amazing! It was always a pleasure and a welcome surprise when she would show up at the office even after she retired.
Phyllis retired in 2016 to spend more time up at the cabin at Puntzi Lake, BC. and traveling all over with her partner and travel companion, Fernand Samson.
