1941-2011
Petr Neumann, age 70, of 100 Mile House, passed away on May 21, 2011. He was born on May 10, 1941 in Prague, Czechoslovakia and immigrated to Canada in 1968.
Petr lived and worked in Edmonton, Calgary, and Banff until the mid 1980s, when he moved to Slave Lake where he began his OSB career. He then moved to 100 Mile House in the early 1990s and worked at Ainsworth OSB until he retired in December of 2010.
He was predeceased by his father Alois Neumann in 1973 and his mother Marketa Neumannova in 1972.
Petr is survived by his son Petr Jr. in Prague, and by one sister, Vera Hromadkova of Prague.
A Celebration of Petr’s life will be held at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, July 9, 2011 at the Red Rock Grill in 100 Mile House.
