In loving memory ~

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Linda Grace (Carrett) Danton, who left us on January 24, 2025. Linda was a remarkable woman who brought warmth, kindness, and unwavering strength to all who knew her.

Born on May 12, 1951, in Dover, Kent, England, Linda was the youngest child of the late Edward "Ted" and Rhoda "Grace" Carrett. She was raised in Ramsgate, Kent, alongside her beloved siblings, Ted and Pat (predeceased). Linda had a joyful childhood filled with love, laughter, and cherished family moments.

In 1970, she married the love of her life, Chris Danton, in Ramsgate. Together, they embarked on an adventure that led them across the ocean to Canada in 1974, eventually settling in 100 Mile House, where they built a beautiful life together. Though their dreams of starting a family were altered by Linda's battle with ovarian cancer, she embraced life with grace, devotion, and an unwavering love for her four-legged companions: Babylove, Charity, Sunshine, Golumn, Kylo, Caesar, Shadow, Peanut, Holly, Peggy, Saffron, and Basil. Her pets were her family, and she cherished them all.

Linda had a long and fulfilling career with the Royal Bank, dedicating over 40 years to her work. She was not only a skilled professional but also a guiding light for her colleagues. Her loyalty, candor, and warm presence made her a cherished friend and mentor to many. She had a gift for making new employees feel welcome and valued, and her annual participation in the Bankers Variety Show was a testament to her vibrant spirit and love of fun.

Linda's love for life was evident in everything she did. She enjoyed hosting house parties filled with good friends, great food, and lively music. She was always up for a game of Canasta, Hearts, or any card game that brought people together. Though small in stature, Linda was mighty in spirit—fierce, loyal, and always ready to stand by those she loved. She took no nonsense but carried a heart full of kindness, making her the perfect partner for Chris, her devoted and loving husband.

Linda's friendships were deep and enduring. She remained closely connected with her Royal Bank colleagues long after retirement, sharing laughter and stories over luncheons that kept their bonds strong. She was the kind of friend who knew how to laugh, who knew how to listen, and who stood by her loved ones through every season of life.

Linda's bright smile, gentle heart, and fierce spirit will be profoundly missed by her husband, brother, nephews, in-laws who became family, and the many friends who were lucky enough to know her. Though she has left this world, the love she shared and the joy she brought to so many will never be forgotten.

Special gratitude to Caren at hospice, 100 Mile District General hospital nurses and palliative nurses, and Dr. Montgomery. Thank you for your caring, your kindness, and your gentleness with Linda.

Rest peacefully, dear Linda.

You will forever be in our hearts.
