In Loving Memory ~
John Leo Watmough passed away at home peacefully resting and enjoying his favourite music.
He was born very prematurely on November 15th, 1947. At the age of 16, he became a member of the Electrical Workers Union 213 and was an active member for over 50 years. During his career, he was the lead foreman for projects like the Coquitlam Centre, the original Sky Train, several of the Cineplex complexes, and the Vancouver Indigenous Cultural Centre.
John is survived by his 3 sisters, 3 children, 10 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. He was loved by far too many to name here. He opened his arms to all his grandchildren, regardless of how they came to join the family, and greatly enriched their lives with great memories of the cabin at Sheridan Lake.
John had what some may call an "itchy trigger finger" at times, which led to the family motto, "Well, that escalated quickly". His passionate expressions paled in comparison to his love for his grandchildren.
There will be a celebration of life for John at the 100 Mile House Legion on July 25th at 1 p.m. Afterwards, there will be a gathering of close friends and family to spread his ashes at the family cabin on Sheridan Lake. You can contact aaronwatmough13@gmail.com for further details.
In lieu of flowers, please make any donation to the 100 Mile House Legion, as it truly was his second home and family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
