December 9, 1967 - February 20, 2025

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our brother, father, and uncle, James Leask, at the age of 57, on Feb 20, 2025

James is survived by one son Lorne, three stepsons, Darryl, Damien, and Darcy, three brothers, Mike (Crystal), Wayne (Bonnie), and Shawn (Christina), several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

James was born in Surrey, BC on Dec 09, 1967.

James is predeceased by his parents, Merritt Leask, Angelina Leask, stepmother Donna Stewart, sister Marcy Ann, brother Mark, sister Michele and niece Taylor.

Our brother was an explorer. He lived and worked in the north as a land surveyor, and because of that he was able to venture into many parts of Canada most could only dream of seeing. His work took him on great adventures in all three Territories, and Labrador. Often with his own personal pilot to fly him to whatever remote location was on the agenda that day. When he would come back to 100 Mile he would share stories of his adventures and show many pictures. He was very proud of what he was doing in the land of the midnight sun.

James was extremely proud of all his children, his grandchildren, his many nieces and nephews, and his sister and brothers. He often provided sound guidance to his boys, nieces, and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will take place 11:00 AM Saturday July 5 at Centennial Park in 100 Mile House.
