Jack Johnson passed away peacefully on April 1, 2011 in Penticton, B.C. at the age of 90 years. Jack is survived by his wife, June Johnson, children: Dale (Elaine) Johnson of Invermere, B.C., Diane (David) Griffiths of Langley, B.C.; grandchildren; Cara, Niall, Craig and great grandchild, Rane. Sadly predeceased by his son, Bruce and grandson, Ben.

Jack was raised in the Cariboo. He married his childhood sweetheart and treasured the marriage for almost 70 years. Both he and June served in the armed forces during WWII. Following the war, they returned to the Cariboo and developed a ranch at Dempsey Lake, where they raised their three children. They have lived in the Okanagan over the past 20 years. Jack earned a reputation for quality workmanship in wood and metal construction. He enriched the lives of others through his sense of humour and story telling.
