In loving memory ~

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved father, Harold Zonruiter. Harold passed away in Kamloops, due to pneumonia complicating his Parkinson's disease.

Harold is survived by his children, Christopher (wife Andrea), daughter Rebecca and grandson Aiden, and their mother Lynda. Harold has a brother Bert (Donna), sister Helen (Derryl), sister Ann (Valerie), sister-in-law Sandi (Rick), brother-in-law David (Kathie), in addition to many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Harold was predeceased by his parents Hendrik and Helena Zonruiter, and his in-laws George and Patricia Sheets.

Harold was born in Matsqui and raised in Surrey. He participated in Cub Scouts, baseball, and many camping trips with extended family. His love for the outdoors continued to grow as he married Lynda and they relocated their young family to Lone Butte in 1988.

In Lone Butte he was a Cub Scout pack leader, a volunteer firefighter, a Drywall Contractor and Realtor, while supporting his kids through many activities, including 4H and sports.

His passions were hunting in the South Cariboo and fishing on Irish Lake, until the birth of his grandson, Aiden, when he became the apple of Harold's eye.

Harold moved to the 108 Mile Ranch in 2016, and then to Kamloops in 2021. He met and had many good friends in the 100 Mile House area.

Thank you to the care staff at Ridgeview Lodge in Kamloops, where Harold resided for the past 18 months.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Parkinson's Society British Columbia or Cariboo Christian Life Fellowship.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on May 3, 2025 at Cariboo Christian Life Fellowship located at 108 Mile Ranch.
