It is with great sadness that the family of Eileen King announces her peaceful passing on February 9, 2021 at the age of 75.
Eileen will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 57 years, Dave, daughter Donna (Jack) Fitzel, son David King, grandchildren Jason Fitzel (Keira), Trevor (Chelsea) Fitzel, great grandchildren "her sweeties" Liam and Blake Fitzel, sister, Maureen Reid and brother Bill Warren. Eileen is predeceased by her parents Frederick and Dorothy Reid, sister Kay and brothers Jim and John.
Eileen was born in Vancouver, BC and spent her early years in Kitsilano before moving with her family to Bella Bella at the age of 15. She met Dave in Bella Coola, where they married in 1963 and started their family. The family moved throughout BC and settled in the 100 Mile House area in 1973.
Eileen was a familiar face at the 100 Mile House Safeway where she worked for 28 years until her retirement. Eileen enjoyed gold panning, golfing, gardening, and creating stained glass at which she was very talented.
At Eileen's request no service will be held.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at The Florentine for their care and compassion.
