Dorothy was born in South Vancouver. She was raised on Capital Hill where she met and married Louis Sharkey. She spent many years in Surrey raising her six children, moving to 100 Mile House in 1973, Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Louis. She was remarried to Michael Safronick who predeceased her April 22, 2011.
Dorothy is survived by daughters Joan Williams, Yvonne Gauthier (Paul), Margaret Gilbert (Dave), and sons Doug Sharkey (Renate) and Cliff Sharkey (Linda). Dorothy was predeceased by her son Ron Sharkey (Thelma). She has ten grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Service was held Monday, Aug. 15, 2011 at Creekside Seniors Activity Centre in 100 Mile House, B.C.
