September 7, 1996 - May 9, 2025

In loving memory ~

With deep sorrow and profound love, we announce the passing of Desiree Lee Morrison of Kamloops, B.C., who left us on May 9, 2025 at the age of 28.

Desiree was born in 100 Mile House, B.C. on September 7, 1996 to Rob and Lia Morrison. She is predeceased by her grandmother Mary, grandfather Peter, great grandmother Antonia, her soulmate Geoff, and her beloved dog Luna, as well as other cherished loved ones gone too soon. She is survived by her parents Rob and Lia, her sister and best friend Chelsea, her beloved grandma Jeneane, and a wide circle of family and friends who will remember her laugh, her strength, and her kindness.

Desiree was a fierce and loyal sister to Chelsea, her only sibling. Their bond was unshakeable, rooted in endless love, shared laughter, and unwavering support. Through all of life's highs and lows, Desiree and Chelsea walked together, heart in heart.

Desirees memory will live on in the many lives she touched. Her friends remember her as someone who listened without judgement, showed up when it mattered, and brought laughter into the darkest moments. Desiree blessed us all by gifting her organs as her final gift to this world.

She built a meaningful career as a unit clerk in the ICU department where she felt deeply valued by her colleagues. Her coworkers were not just her peers, but a second family who cared for her with compassion and dignity in her final days, which our family is eternally grateful.

She faced her struggles with mental health and substance use with courage and honesty. Desiree's journey was not easy, but it was real. Her life was not defined by her challenges, but by the grace with which she navigated them and the deep empathy she had for others who struggled as well. She gave her heart fully and loved without hesitation. Desiree's life was short- but beautiful and meaningful. She leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty and connection that cannot be forgotten.

Rest in peace sweet girl! We know Geoff and Luna are waiting for you by a lake somewhere with that new canoe, ready for your next adventure.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to mental health and substance use services, Sage Health Center or any SPCA or animal shelter in Desiree's honor. There will be no formal service
