In loving memory ~
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Christine Muriel Joly (née Clark), who left us peacefully with her husband, Herve, by her side.
She was predeceased by her parents, James William Clark and Valaine Pearl Clark (née Lush), and survived by her devoted husband Herve David Joly; her sons Vincent (Landa) and Jason (Janice); her seven grandchildren Jordan, Haley (Ethan), Madellyn, and Gracelyn from Vincent; and Brooklyn, Mya, and Kenneth from Jason; and two great grandchildren, Mavie and Dashiel from Haley.
Though an only child, Chris gained a large and loving family when she married into a family of ten on August 16, 1969. In 1974, she and Herve moved from Coquitlam to the 108 Mile Ranch, where they poured their hearts into raising their two sons, Vince and Jason. It was there that lifelong friendships were formed, and they built a home filled with love, laughter, and song.
Chris was a gentle and kind soul, devoted to her family and friends. Her selflessness shone through in everything she did—always keeping a watchful eye on the kids, engaging fully in both play and work, and ensuring that every milestone, holiday and celebration was met with love and thoughtfulness.
She had a passion for crafts, including cross-stitch, ceramics, painting, and crochet. She also found joy in her garden and caring for her pets. Nothing in her life was ever left uncared for.
Chris worked tirelessly in the housekeeping and laundry departments of 100 Mile Hospital, Mill Site Lodge, and Fischer Place before retiring at the age of 54. As dementia gradually took its hold, it became her turn to be cared for. The Joly family is deeply grateful to the staff and volunteers at Fischer Place in 100 Mile House for their compassionate care and support.
Chris will be forever loved,
admired, and missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be greatly appreciated.
