100 Mile RCMP responded to 64 complaints and calls for service during the past week.
Unwanted visitor
On Jan. 16, 100 Mile RCMP responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a residence on Holmes Road near Lone Butte.
A male had uttered threats to the owner of the property and then left. Police responded again later that night as the male had returned to the property and was attempting to gain entry. He was not successful and he subsequently left the area on foot.
The police dog was called from Kamloops and the suspect was tracked to a neighbouring structure. The male was arrested without incident and lodged in cells.
The investigation into this complaint is continuing, and at this time, no charges have been laid.
Roadside
stumbling
On Jan. 15, police received a report of two intoxicated people walking on Kallum Drive in the 108 Mile Ranch.
The responding officers located a male and a female staggering on the road. There was no safe place to take them to and they were unable to care for themselves; therefore, they were lodged in cells until sober.
Both were released without charges the following day.
Uttering threats
On Jan. 14, 100 Mile RCMP was dispatched to a residence on Cedar Avenue in 100 Mile House in response to a threats complaint.
The female victim indicated that a male living close by had threatened her. The male suspect was located and arrested.
He was held in custody because of his level of intoxication. He was released the following day on conditions with a court date in March.
Charges of uttering threats have been recommended to Crown against a 60-year-old male 100 Mile House resident.
Having a bad day
On Jan. 10, a male attended the 100 Mile RCMP detachment to turn himself in on a warrant.
He was also on
an undertaking with
a no alcohol condition, and had, unfortunately, been drinking. The male was lodged in cells until sober.
He was released the following day to answer for the outstanding warrant in Fort St. John.
He was also charged for the breach of his undertaking and issued a court date in February in Williams Lake.
