Clinton Legion Branch #194

In Clinton, the Clinton Legion’s Remembrance Day parade will take place at 10:40 a.m. and will make its way to the Clinton Community Hall for their service. The service will take place starting at 11 a.m. After the ceremony, the Legion invites the community to attend a luncheon at noon.

Mountain Spruce Community

Centre Society

The Mountain Spruce Community Centre is inviting the community to attend their Remembrance Day Celebration on Nov. 11.

The event gets underway at 11 a.m. with opening remarks provided by Harv Allen followed by the reading of In Flanders Fields and the playing of the Last Post by Glenda Eades.

Following two minutes of silence Allen and local firefighters will lay out wreaths honouring the falling. After the ceremony all are invited to the hall for coffee, tea, hot chocolate and cookies.

Forest Grove Legion Branch #261

Commencing of procession to the cenotaph begins at 10:45 a.m. in front of the Forest Grove Legion.

Service will take place at cenotaph in the Legion Park at 11 a.m. After service, there will be a light lunch served.

The Forest Grove Legion will be open for regular hours of operation at 3:30 p.m. for a meatdraw and drop-in darts.

Lac La Hache Pioneer Cemetery

The Lac La Hache Pioneer Volunteers and the Lac La Hache Volunteer Fire Department are inviting the Lac La Hache Community to attend their Remembrance Dere Ceremonies at the cemetery located at 4091 McKinley Drive. The service gets underway at 10:30 a.m.

100 Mile Legion Branch #260: Order of Service

In 100 Mile House the 100 Mile Legion’s Remembrance Day Celebrations get underway at 10:50 a.m. with members of the Legion, the 2887 Rocky Mountain Ranger Army Cadet Corps, 100 Mile House RCMP and 100 Mile House’s Canadian Ranger Patrol parading down Birch Avenue to the Cenotaph.

The service takes place in the 100 Mile Community Hall with a minute of silence being observed at 11 a.m. The Eclectica Community Choir will be on hand to sing O’Canada and Prayer of the Children.

Those who have passed away since last Remembrance Day will be honoured including Watmough, J, McAninch, A. and S/Sgt Langdon, S.

Following the service members of the community are invited to attend the Legion’s open house taking place starting at noon.

The Legion is located at 933 Alder Avenue.
