The rear of the business had been entered sometime overnight previous. A sum of cash was taken from the business.

The investigation into the break-in is continuing.

Stolen vehicle recovered

On June 19, police was notified of a vehicle left abandoned on the pipeline near 83 Mile Road.

RCMP members attended and discovered the vehicle, a white 2016 Ford Edge, was stolen from White Rock. The vehicle was towed from the area and seized for forensic examination.

Driver's licence not valid

On June 17, Cariboo Traffic Services stopped a vehicle on Highway 97 near Airport Road and the female driver admitted to not having a valid driver's licence.

She displayed symptoms of alcohol consumption. A roadside breath test was conducted which resulted in a warn reading.

She was issued a three-day immediate roadside prohibition, as well as a violation ticket for no driver's licence.

Wildlife collision

On June 16, 2016, RCMP responded to a collision involving a motorcycle and deer on Highway 97 near 108 Mile Ranch.

A motorcyclist was travelling southbound when he collided with a deer that had entered the highway. The driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the 100 Mile District General Hospital for further treatment.

In the ditch

On June 14, RCMP responded to a single-vehicle incident on Highway 97 near 108 Mile Ranch.

A truck towing a dump trailer containing sand had lost control on the highway and went into the ditch. Weather and road conditions were good at the time.

Upon inspection of the trailer, it was determined to have several mechanical and safety issues, which may have contributed to the incident.

There were no injuries and the incident remains under investigation.
