A new multi-purpose trail along Canim-Hendrix Lake Road allows Tsq̓éscenemc to safely walk from one part of the community to the other.

A new public multi-purpose trail is opening along Canim-Hendrix Lake Road, about 30 kilometres northeast of 100 Mile House.

The trail will connect one part of the Tsq̓éscen̓ First Nation community with the other, allowing Tsq̓éscenemc (People of Broken Rock) to safely travel on foot or by bike.

The trail has been in development for four years and was identified as a need because of dangerous traffic on the road. A soft launch for Tsq̓éscenemc members and staff was held on Friday, Nov. 8, and the Nation is currently planning a grand opening for the public.
