Shortly before last night's (April 12) membership meeting, when a formal decision on proceeding with the project was expected, co-op manager Howie McMillan acknowledged an amazing response to its "11th-hour campaign" for membership share sales.
The board is also confident it will reach its more recent, secondary funding target for potential construction overruns, he says, adding with new memberships still coming in, this may help move the co-op into the next development phase.
