The Cariboo Regional District will be conducting regular annual maintenance on the 108 Mile Ranch's water system for the next four weeks.

In a press release issued on Wednesday, June 18, the CRD stated that the system will be undergoing regular flushing during this maintenance. The work is expected to begin on Monday, June 23 and last until Friday, July 18.

"Water may be cloudy with air or display more particulates when taps are turned on. There is no cause for concern. You may choose to allow water to run clear before using," the CRD said. "It is advised that you change any home water filters that you may have inside your homes once flushing is complete. Hydrant and main valve servicing will also be ongoing during this time."

The CRD asks the community to be cautious around the crews while they're working over the coming weeks. They also apologized for any inconvenience this maintenance may cause.

Anyone with concerns or who has questions about the CRD's water systems is asked to contact the CRD's Environmental Services Department at 250-391-3351.
