They say the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, but organizers of this year’s 12th Annual South Cariboo Garlic Festival are thinking a great variety of foods may be the way to make fair-goers happy, too.
The festival takes place on Aug. 27-28 in Lac la Hache, and festival director Jeanette McCrea says comments from visitors last year indicated people would like to see more food items.
"We listened, and we're now putting out the word that food offerings, particularly those with garlic, will be most welcome. We are encouraging all types of food vendors to come to the 2011 festival with foods that will wow the folks and establish our festival as the place to eat and get garlicky."
The festival is currently taking food-vendor applications on its website at www.garlicfestival.ca.
