Day parole continuance for Bucknell

Appearing before the parole board on March 4, it was determined Chad Edward Bucknell would continue with day parole.

Special conditions imposed on the day parole were also continued.

These include:

• He must follow psychological counselling to resolve childhood upbringing issues.

• He must abstain from intoxicants other than prescribed medications taken as directed and over-the-counter drugs taken as recommended by the manufacturer.

• He must not associate with any person he knows or has reason to believe is involved in criminal activity and/or substance misuse.

Bucknell was 14 years old and James Ruscitti was 15 when they murdered four people at a home in Buffalo Creek in June 1996.

The victims were Ruscitti's adoptive family and two other residents in the home at the time.
