550 people affected by Canim Lake evacuation

Order was expanded north to include Eagle Creek and Hawkins Lake early this morning

9:55 a.m. update: Approximately 550 people were affected by the Canim Lake evacuation orders, according to Cariboo Regional District Information Officer Julie Rogers, 73 of whom registered at the Emergency Social Services in 100 Mile House.

7:25 a.m. update: Early this morning the Canim Lake evacuation order was expanded north to include Eagle Creek and Hawkins Lake.

Evacuees were asked to leave immediately and register at the ESS Centre at the Curling Club in 100 Mile House or the Sandman Centre in Kamloops.
