EDITOR'S NOTE: The Canadian Union of Postal Workers have begun strike action on Friday, May 23, with a ban on overtime. Regular delivery of subscriber copies of the Free Press by mail will continue until a complete work stoppage is undertaken.

ORIGINAL STORY: As Canada Post prepares to resume strike action on Friday, May 24, delivery of the simplymastery by mail may be disrupted.

The simplymastery has once more arranged for copies of the newspaper, which would usually be mailed to subscribers, to be available at several convenient pickup locations across the South Cariboo in the result of a full strike. Similar to the last strike in the fall of 2024, subscribers have been divided up based on postal codes.

Subscribers within 100 Mile House with the postal codes, V0K 2E0, V0K 2E1, V0K 2E2 and V0K 2E3 can pick up their newspapers at the simplymastery office at 250 Birch Avenue #1. 108 Mile Ranch area residents with the postal code V0K 2Z0 can pick up their papers at the 108 Mile Canco Supermarket.

The Lac La Hache Food Mart is the pick-up location for subscribers with a V0K 1T0 or V0K 1T1 postal code. Out towards Forest Grove, the Forest Grove Store is the pickup location for those with V0K 1L0, V0K 1G0 and V0K 1M0, while the Canim Lake Store will be carrying subscriber papers with V0K 1J0

In Lone Butte, newspapers will be available in the Lone Butte Post Office Lobby for Lone Butte and Interlakes area residents with postal codes of V0K 1X0, V0K 1X1, V0K 1X2, V0K 1X and V0K 1E0. Finally, the 70 Mile General Store will have the papers for subscribers with V0K 2K0, V0K 2K1 and V0K 2K2.

The simplymastery requests that subscribers only take their paper with their names on it and to have patience during any disruption. Subscribers can also ensure they have access to the e-edition of the simplymastery by going online and signing up for an online account using your email.

Anyone with any questions about logging into your online account or about the distribution process is invited to contact us at subscribersupport@blackpress.ca, circulation@100milefreepress.net or call 250-395-2219.

Regular delivery of subscriber newspapers by mail will resume once the Canadian Union of Postal Workers and Canada Post come to a new collective agreement. The CUPW gave its strike notice to Canada Post on Monday, May 19.
