Bylaw changes

At their last District of 100 Mile House council meeting, councillors gave first and second reading to a zoning amendment bylaw to allow an accessory structure prior to a principal structure being built on a proposed subdivided lot at 824 Spruce Ave.

Years ago, there were two lots that were converted into one lot, and a recreational vehicle shelter was constructed on one of the lots.

Now, the owners want to subdivide the property back into two lots, but under the current bylaw, it can't be approved because the RV shelter has already been constructed.

Notices will go out to property owners in the neighbourhood in March, and there will be a public hearing on March 22.
