On May 3, the District of 100 Mile House gave third reading to a rezoning application by Don Savjord that would see a seven-hectare piece of property at the corner on Highway 97 and Exeter Station Road go from large lot agricultural (A1) zoning to meet the minimum lot size agricultural (A2) zoning.
This would allow Savjord to separate this piece of property away from the ranchland. The Bridge Creek Estates ranch manager says he may consider applying for a highway commercial zoning in the future.
Council also gave a third reading and adoption of similar rezoning application from A1 to A2 for a 14.5 ha piece of property behind the 100 Mile House Airport and The Lodge.
Savjord says that at this point, he intends to use the property for continued agriculture.
