108 Mile wildfire brought under control

A wildfire south of 108 Mile Ranch has been brought under control after being discovered on Tuesday, June 17.

Jeromy Corrigan, an information officer of the Ministry of Forests, said that the fire was discovered early this afternoon and has since been brought under control. Corrigan said a B.C. Wildfire crew is currently on site working to extinguish the blaze. 

The blaze is listed at 0.009 hectares in size. The cause of the wildfire is under investigation, and suppression actions are being taken to limit the spread.
