The RE/MAX 100 Mile office has achieved Gold Miracle Office status from the Children's Miracle Network (CMN) for their donations in 2024.

The office raised around $13,225 in 2024 for CMN, a nonprofit organization which raises funds for children's hospitals in the U.S. and Canada. Jerry Redman, the owner of the 100 Mile RE/MAX, said the Gold Miracle Office status is effectively a ranking system.

"There's a bronze office, a silver office, a gold office, a platinum office. There are different levels. It's just a way of the offices being recognized by the CMN for the work that they've done in raising money," Redman said.

Agents in the office raised the funds, Redman said.

"Most of it will be done when they list the property and it sells, they donate part of their commission," he explained.

In B.C., the money that is raised for the Children's Miracle Network goes to the Vancouver Children's Hospital. 100 Mile House RE/MAX, Redman explained, has been participating in the CMN since 1986.

"In the lifetime that they've been donating, they've raised $87,836 for CMN. RE/MAX Canada has raised over $218 million since it became its corporate charity in Canada. And it's benefiting children - the Children's Hospital in Vancouver services children all around the province that need to go for medical treatment, and that's the reason why. Children need help," Redman noted.

Redman says the fact that they achieved Gold Miracle Office status is incredible.

"For a small town of 100 Mile to be able to do that, they're competing and outshining offices that are in a lot of bigger centres," Redman stated. "I just also think it shows a lot to the town of 100 Mile and the surrounding areas that the Children's Hospital is an incredible charity to support."
