100 Mile House RCMP responded to 70 calls for service last week.

On Nov. 14, 2023, RCMP received a report of a theft of a battery-operated mobility scooter on the 5000 block of Abel Lake Road. The scooter is described as a blue Victory with a black basket on the front. It was taken from the owners’ front porch area sometime over the last few days leading up to the report.

On Nov. 14, 2023, RCMP received a report of a break and enter to several storage lockers and a rental shop located on the 300 block of Exeter Station Road. Four lockers were accessed through locks being cut. A radio and a semi-truck steel driver kit were taken from the shop. It is believed to have occurred sometime overnight. It is not known at this time what was taken from the lockers.

On Nov. 15, 2023, RCMP received a report of a theft of a vehicle from the 800 block of Exeter Station Road. A 2011 Ford F750 and Vermeer wood chipper trailer were taken which is believed to have occurred at 8:30 p.m. the night previous. The vehicle and trailer were located on November 15th abandoned in two different areas in the Williams Lake area.

On Nov. 15, 2023, RCMP observed a vehicle on Highway 97 near Alder Avenue that was believed to be associated with a prohibited driver. The vehicle was stopped and determined the driver was prohibited from driving under the criminal code and motor vehicle act. The license plates on the vehicle also did not match. The female driver was arrested for prohibited driving. She was released and will attend court at a later date. She was also issued a violation ticket for having no valid insurance and her vehicle was impounded.

On Nov. 18, 2023, RCMP received a report of a break and enter to several storage lockers located on the 200 block of Seventh Street. Sometime overnight, six lockers had been entered. RCMP are awaiting a list of items taken from the storage locker owners.

On Nov. 18, 2023, BC Highway Patrol were conducting a patrol on Highway 97 when they identified a vehicle that was being operated by a person prohibited from driving. The vehicle was stopped where it was confirmed the driver was prohibited under the motor vehicle act. The male driver was arrested and released to appear in court at a later date. The vehicle he was driving was impounded.

On Nov. 19, 2023, RCMP were called to a report of a theft from vehicles on the 300 block of Exeter Station Road. Three RV’s that were parked at this location had been entered sometime overnight. It is not known what was taken from the RV’s at this time.

On Nov. 20, 2023, RCMP received a report of a theft of vehicle taken from the 3000 block of Dodge Road. Sometime over the last two weeks, a green Suzuki Sidekick was taken from the property. The year of the vehicle is not known and the vehicle was not licensed.
