100 Mile Fire Rescue extinguished a small wildland fire within the District of 100 Mile House on Monday, May 5.
The fire was reported just after 3 p.m. on Monday behind the 100 Mile House fire hall in a wooded area, with thin white smoke visible from Horse Lake Road. Members of the fire department responded swiftly and were able to contain and extinguish the fire.
At this time, it is unknown what caused the fire or how big it was. 100 Mile Fire Rescue cleared the scene by 4 p.m. on Monday.
