In 100 Mile House, Lee's Custom Floors has been a cornerstone for flooring services since 1988. Founded by Lee Peters, the company has grown to be a trusted name for retail and commercial flooring solutions.
Today, under the ownership of Janet McKenzie and James Fowler, Lee's continues to honour its rich heritage while embracing modern trends in flooring.
"Janet and James are upholding the legacy that Lee & Judy left behind – honest and knowledgeable sales, fair pricing and quality installation,” says Ganesa Wiens, Sales/Admin at Lee's.

This commitment to integrity and community service has been the root of their success, ensuring that what worked 36 years ago remains effective today.
Flooring options for every need
Lee's offers a range of flooring materials, from hardwood and laminate to sheet vinyl, vinyl plank and various types of tile, along with the tools and materials for installation.
“We stock all types of supplies for installing flooring and tile, including mortar, grout, adhesives and Schluter materials. If you need it and we don’t have it, we will get it!" Wiens says, noting customers can also borrow installation tools for free.

What's trending in the South Cariboo? “We are seeing an increase in the number of people returning to laminate, particularly now that there are waterproof lines available,” Wiens says.
Current trends lean towards warmer, richer tones and more natural looks, with vinyl plank remaining the top choice due to its ease of installation and maintenance.
Innovative installation techniques
One of the unique features of Lee's Custom Floors is their use of the Pro-Stretch Carpet Installation System, a method developed by their founder, Lee Peters, that ensures a superior finish for every carpet installation.
“Nothing beats a Pro-Stretched carpet installation – it provides a tightly stretched and wrinkle-free carpet and saves our installers' knees,” Wiens says.
Commitment to community
Rooted in the local community, Lee's Custom Floors supports organizations such as B.C. Shriners, the local fire department and South Cariboo Hospice, is an active member of the South Cariboo Chamber of Commerce and regularly engages with district schools and the hospital.
“We care about making sure every customer gets a dose of small-town friendliness along with excellent service from start to finish,” Wiens says. This personal touch, combined with their long-standing relationships with dealers, allows Lee's to offer competitive pricing and a wide range of flooring options.
"If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it," Wiens says with a smile. "While we stay up on trends, new products and innovative ideas, we also know that some things never change, and they shouldn’t. We'll continue to help people find the products that make their house feel like home."
