Quesnel Kangaroos, River Rush hockey teams announce first games

Both teams are scheduled to have their first games of the year in September to kick off hockey season in Quesnel

The West Fraser Centre will host both teams' homes games.

The Quesnel Kangaroos and new Quesnel River Rush hockey teams have dates set for their first matches of 2024. The Kangaroos have their first regular season games scheduled while the River Rush have their first exhibition and regular season games on the calendar.

The Senior AA CIHL team, the Quesnel Kangaroos, are set to have their first match of the regular season on Sept. 28 in Williams Lake against the Stampeders. The following weekend on Oct. 5th they play their home opener at the West Fraser Centre.

Quesnel's new KIJHL Junior A team, the River Rush, play their first exhibition games in early September. 

The first game against the Williams Lake Mustangs will be on Sept. 6th and then they return to Quesnel on Sept. 7th to play their first ever match at the West Fraser Centre. On Sept. 11th they'll have an away game against the 100 Mile House Wranglers and then a home game against the same team on Sept. 13th.

The River Rush's first games of the regular season will be held at the West Fraser Centre on Sept. 20th and 21st against the Merritt Centennials and Sicamous Eagles.
