Williams Lake RCMP are warning drivers of the risks of drinking and driving after a reported increase in impaired drivers in and around the city.

Over the past week, police have investigated three separate instances of impaired driving and will be submitting information on to BC Prosecution Service for possible charges.

“When making plans, we ask that you include a safe ride home,” stated Corporal Madonna Saunderson in a release.

“With so many options available to get home safely, there is never an excuse to drive while impaired. The risks are always high, and the results are sometimes deadly.”

Williams Lake RCMP said they will continue targeting impaired drivers.
