A wildfire sparked south of Parksville is now considered "under control" by BC Wildfire Service.
The fire at Labour Day Lake was discovered Tuesday afternoon (June 10) and as of 2:15 p.m. on Thursday was listed at 5.7 hectares.
There are currently three initial attack crews responding to the wildfire.
The wildfire is not projected to spread beyond the current perimeter.
The fire is suspected to be human-caused, according to BC Wildfire Service.
