Victoria police seize narcotics, Ford Mustang in recent bust

An electric Mustang and 2.5. kilograms of cocaine, meth, fentanyl were scooped up by Vic PD late last week

A high-performance vehicle and 2.5 kilograms of narcotics were seized in a Victoria drug bust late last week.

On June 26, a female suspect was arrested in the 900-block of Johnson Street as part of a drug investigation by Vic PD’s strike force – a unit that helps identify and arrest dangerous and prolific criminals.

Officers seized $7,500 in cash, one kilogram of cocaine, one kilogram of methamphetamine and half a kilogram of fentanyl.

This follows a drug trafficking investigation Vic PD carried out earlier this month, during which time officers identified the female suspect involved in trafficking controlled substances throughout the Capital Regional District.

An electric Ford Mustang, which was used in the commission of the alleged offences, was also seized. It is now subject to civil forfeiture.

“This seizure sends a clear message that we will continue to target drug trafficking, protect our communities and hold offenders accountable,” Deputy Chief Jamie McRae said in a news release. “The significant quantity of drugs seized highlights the dangers of this illicit activity and demonstrates our strike force unit’s ongoing commitment to disrupting it.”
