Invasive species management using herbicide will be taking place throughout June at Witty’s Lagoon Regional Park – the Orchard area of the park will be affected.

Visitors to Metchosin's Witty’s Lagoon Regional Park will notice small area closures through the month of June.

The Capital Regional District (CRD) says invasive species management, using herbicide, will cause temporary minor closures in the Tower Point and Orchard areas of the park.

Beach access, washrooms and parking will remain open.

The CRD advises visitors to use caution when visiting the park and follow the direction of staff and signage.

"Please stay on trail and keep pets on leash and on trail during the treatment period for your protection," they said in a news release.
