The District of Saanich has launched five new online application portals aimed at streamlining the residential building permit process.
Residents can now apply digitally for permits related to new builds, additions, renovations, demolitions and other projects such as accessory buildings, swimming pools, fences and retaining walls.
The eApply system (accessible at saanich.ca/residentialpermits) replaces paper-based submissions and is part of a broader effort to modernize municipal services.
Saanich says the shift will make applications more convenient and efficient, with further digital updates planned for 2025.
The move is part of the district’s goal to remove barriers and simplify the permitting and payment process for both residents and developers.
