Road closures expected for Esquimalt 5k and Kids Fun Run

Drivers and pedestrians can expect road closures and traffic delays during the Esquimalt 5K and Kids Fun Run on Saturday, April 5.

Six hundred runners will assemble near the Archie Browning Sports Centre before 9 a.m. The event runs from 9 a.m. until about 11 a.m.

Participants will start and finish their race on Lyall Street between Fraser Street and Lampson Street. The routes will take participants through Saxe Point Park, Macaulay Park, and several other neighbourhoods, noted the Victoria Police Department.

Officers, VicPD reserve constables and trained marshals will help with traffic control at major points along the route.
