Oceanside RCMP are reporting lighter traffic on the road in the Parksville Qualicum Beach area for Feb. 3 and Feb. 4.
Sgt. Shane Worth said the lighter traffic indicates people are staying home if they don't need to go out and that's a good thing.
"We have responded to a few crashes related to the snow, however nothing serious," he said in an email to the PQB News.
If people do head out on the roads, police remind drivers to have good winter tires, give themselves more time to get where they are going and provide road clearing crews plenty of space to do their work.
Environment Canada is forecasting a chance of more tonight (Feb. 4) and tomorrow, as well as Friday.
