Ladysmith Family and Friends (LaFF) will celebrate three decades of community connection with a 30th birthday celebration and annual general meeting at Aggie Hall on Friday, May 30.
The drop-in community celebration runs from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and will feature activities for all ages, including crafts, a book nook, an obstacle course and volunteer highlights. A free dinner will be served to the first 100 guests.
Open to participants, alumni and community members, the event also serves as an opportunity to support local families. Donations of food items for LaFF’s pantry or financial contributions will be gratefully accepted.
Following the celebration, LaFF will hold its annual general meeting from 7 to 8 p.m. Attendees will hear an update on LaFF’s work over the past year, learn about upcoming programs and vote in a new volunteer board of directors. The AGM is for adults only.
LaFF is a longstanding community program dedicated to supporting families in Ladysmith and surrounding areas through early years programming, outreach and inclusive engagement.
