Kelowna fire crews battling blaze at Rutland Centennial Hall

A fire sparked at Rutland Centennial Hall on Saturday, July 12 is believed to be electrical.

UPDATE 2:50 p.m.

The fire at Rutland Centennial Hall has been extinguished. 

KFD is still investigating. Damage to the hall is unknown at this time.


Multiple Kelowna fire crews are responding to reports of a blaze inside Rutland Centennial Hall, where the Okanagan Rock and Gem show is taking place this weekend. 

The cause of the fire is not known at this time, but it is believed to be electrical.

The Kelowna Fire Department has closed Shepherd Road while battling the blaze.

Additionally, the building has been evacuated. It's unknown if anyone is injured.

FortisBC has also been called to the scene.
