The Central Saanich Police Service is looking for public assistance in locating 62-year-old Robin Swets, who is wanted on an unendorsed warrant related to a 2023 sexual assault investigation.

According to Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers, Swets has been evading arrest since June 2023, but police believe he is still in the Greater Victoria area, namely the municipalities of Victoria or Saanich.

A LinkedIn account with his name and photo notes that he worked several jobs for the B.C. government between 2004 and 2020, including under the Ministry of Citizens' Services and the then Ministry of Children and Family Services. The account shows that since 2010, Swets has been self-employed as a career advancement and leadership coach.

According to B.C.'s electronic court registry, in 2023, a file was opened for a man with the same name and age as Swets for a sexual assault committed in 1984 in Dunster, a small town just across the border from Jasper National Park.

Swets is described as having blue eyes, with blonde, but balding hair, weighing about 176 pounds and standing at 5 foot 9 inches tall.

Anyone with information that can assist in locating his whereabouts are asked to contact police or contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
