New and used treasures business destroyed by fire in Williams Lake

The fire started around 6 a.m.

Update:

Assistant Fire Chief Cory Boyd said the WIlliams Lake Fire Department received a call at around  6:20 a.m. to a business fire on Mackenzie Avenue North on Thursday, March 27.

"We had a duty officer on scene right away and he observed a large portion of the building already fully involved.  The first Engine arrived at 6:30 a.m.  The building had no fire separation causing it to spread quickly."

The Williams Lake Fire Department is responding to a fire on Mackenzie Avenue at a used and new goods store Thursday morning, March 27.

Station 99 is housed in a former warehouse on the west side of the road, adjacent to the Station House Gallery.

The building is fully engulfed. RCMP on scene told the Tribune the fire started around 6 a.m.

When the Tribune interviewed the owner in March 2024, she said items in the store come from estate sales and store closures, plus several vendors including Reclaimed Classics, Funky Junk, Robin’s Nest, Father Time and Builders Anonymous.
