BREAKING: Kelowna Fire Department douses RV blaze

The RV fire is in an alley behind Woodlawn Street

UPDATE: 5:10 p.m.

The Kelowna Fire Department has doused an RV blaze on Woodlawn Street and it appears that no other structures were damaged. 

Neighbours acted quickly after noticing smoke coming from the alley-way and used garden hoses to in an attempt to contain the fire before emergency crews arrived on-scene. 

Traffic in the area is impacted by the fire and construction and delays should be expected.

The Kelowna Fire Department is on scene of Woodlawn Street for an RV on fire that created black smoke that was visible throughout the neighbourhood.

Multiple calls came in around 4:45 p.m. for an RV on fire in an alley behind 2200 Woodlawn Street. 

The fire has spread to a nearby fence. 

Glenwood Avenue is closed due to construction and traffic is backed up in the area.
