Two people have been charged for break-and-enter to a Williams Lake business.

Williams Lake Mounties said on Tuesday, May 27, they responded to a commercial break-and-enter in progress in the 100 block of Borland Street.

Two suspects had broken into the business and later discharged a fire extinguisher, noted Cpl. Brent Vivier, media relations, in a news release.

Police said they arrested Jacob Funk, 26 and Sekani Poole, 28, and held them in custody.

The pair were later charged by the BC Prosecution Service:

Funk faces charges of break and enter with intent and disguise of face with intent while Poole was charged with break and enter with intent.
Disguise face with intent

Both of them were later released by the court on bail to attend court on June 4, 2025.

"Williams Lake RCMP would like to advise there is no ongoing risk to public safety, as this was a stand-alone incident," said Cpl. Vivier in the news release. "As this matter is now before the courts, no further details will be released."
