SD 27 hosts information session ahead of by-elections

The Cariboo Chilcotin School District 27 is hosting an information session for those interested in becoming a board of education trustee on Wednesday, Jan. 15.

School District 27 is inviting those interested in becoming a school trustee to an information session Wednesday, Jan. 15.  

The district, which serves 24 schools across central interior British Columbia, is preparing for a by-election to represent Electoral Area 4, including Horsefly and Likely, following Ciel Patenaude's resignation in November 2024. 

The information session will be held at the district office in Williams Lake from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and is an opportunity for members of the public to hear about the role of a trustee and ask questions.  

Those looking to run must be 18 years of age or older, a Canadian citizen and have been a resident of British Columbia for at least six months.
