UPDATE: Power has been restored in 100 Mile House following a power outage that lasted for an hour Sunday evening. 

The power was off for roughly an hour and a half with BC Hydro crews restoring power just before 9:30 p.m. A separate outage impacting businesses along Exeter Station Road remains ongoing. 

ORIGINAL STORY: Thousands of BC Hydro customers are without power in 100 Mile House this evening.

The outages occurred on Sunday, June 30 just before 8 p.m. while a thunderstorm was rolling through town. Impacted are roughly 1,400 customers with the entirety of the town currently without power, as well as several businesses along Exeter Station Road in a separate outage. 

The exact cause of the outage is currently unknown with BC Hydro crews on site to assess the issue. At this time, no word has been given on when power will be restored.
