• May 18 - May 20 - The current Parkside exhibit will run until May 20. The exhibit is called Spring into Spring and the gallery is filled with local works. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Tuesday to Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
• May 18 - end of May - Artist Guild member Eva Heese will display her work in the Showcase Gallery in the South Cariboo Business Centre.
• May 19 - The Stemete7uw’i Friendship Centre is holding a student concert with fiddle and guitar students at the Spaghetti Social Community Dinner in St. Timothy’s Church basement from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event is free to attend.
• May 19 - Momentum Productions is hosting Zonnis in the Parkside Art Gallery for a concert with doors opening at 7:30 p.m. and the concert starting at 8.
• May 26 - The Solid Rock Café will be holding a coffee house at the Rock Youth Centre at 4930 Telqua Drive at 108 Ranch. Free admission, goodies by donation. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. with music starting at 7 p.m. Come early for a seat.
• May 26 - June 24 - The next Parkside exhibit will feature Anita Edwards, Cindy Smith and Quille Farnham in a show titled 3 Wild Women and Their Art with an opening reception on Friday, May 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. where everyone is welcome. The show, among other things, will feature felted works, including wall hangings and scarves, paintings and more.
• May 29 - Following the outstanding attendance of the last event, the next Butterfly Brushes Paint Events runs from 6 to 9 p.m. on May 29 at the Boardroom in the South Cariboo Business Centre. The cost will be $35 including all supplies with proceeds going to 100 Mile Hospice Programs. The evening will be hosted by artist Debbie Osborne. Tickets can be purchased at the 100 Mile Hospice Office, Donex Pharmacy and Whimsey Gifts.
