Having reached another level of commercial success, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats plan a cross-Canada arena tour that gets going in Vancouver on Thursday night (Feb. 13). Tickets start at just $35 on ticketmaster.ca.

The American band brings its exuberant, sometimes gritty rock 'n' soul to Rogers Arena, a north-of-the-border starting point for a South of Here tour named for their fourth studio album, on Stax Records.

Maybe you've heard “Heartless,” a hit on adult-alternative charts due to its Americana beat and R&B-ish heart.

Born in St. Louis and based in Denver, Rateliff is still probably best known for the party-starting "S.O.B.," which went viral a decade ago. It was an old sound given new energy on an album he made as a last-ditch effort to make it as a pro musician.

Mission accomplished.

Thursday, Charley Crockett opens at Rogers Arena. A year ago, that's where Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats opened for City and Colour as the stronger, more diverse, much more engaging band of the night.

See for yourself, because Rateliff and seven-man band can deliver sweaty R&B, funky soul and gospel-y goodness.
