Vancouver Island Pro Wrestling is planning its biggest show of the year in a main-event venue.
Wrestlefest II happens Friday, June 27, at Frank Crane Arena in Nanaimo.
The event will feature a wargames-style match, with Team VIPW – Mat Maverick, Drayco, ‘Type Eh’ Michael May and Danni Deeds – doing battle with Team Cordova – VIPW champion Scott Steel, Scotty Mac, Devon Shooter and Ty Cordova – inside a weapon-filled ‘chamber of extreme.’
Also, Miles DeVille, Ciclon Ramirez Jr. and Evan Ashford will do battle in a triple-threat match, Tara Zep will face ‘Legit’ Leyla Hirsch, and ‘Dynamite Kid’ Tommy Billington will challenge Mo Jabari for the Jericho Cruise Oceanic Championship.
The VIPW tag team titles will also be on the line with Re:Loaded challenging the Cordova Corporation.
A ‘Harewood Scrap’ grudge match will involve Jordie Taylor and Badman McCann in a match that can only end via knockout.
Veteran heavyweight Cremator Von Slasher will be putting his Anarchy Rulz title on the line in a casket match against Machete Brown.
As well, Dash Dauntless will go one-on-one against their former Suspender Disbelief tag-team partner Garth Wayne.
Tickets cost $20-60 and are available online at www.viprowrestling.ca or at Friesen Rentals, and will also be available at the doors. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for VIP ticket holders and 6:30 p.m. for general admission.
