Laughopolis promises to provide a lot of laughter

Laughopolis comedy combo tour is coming to Bethel Pentecostal Church in 100 Mile House on Jan. 16

Laughopolis comedy combo tour is coming to Bethel Pentecostal Church in 100 Mile House on Jan. 16, and people can start laughing at 7 p.m.

It is very similar to the TV show Whose Line Is It Anyway? The performances are of spontaneous comedy scenes based on audience suggestions and participation.

Nationally recognized Improv comedy group, The Panic Squad, is teaming up with award-winning stand-up comedian Leland Klassen; both have extensive professional experience bringing clean comedy to a wide range of diverse audiences.

The Comedy Combo Tour will feature comedy from three different genres: Improv, sketch and stand-up comedy.

"The performance is for all ages; we had a full house last year," says Bethel's administrator Wendy Gunn. "They have audience participation, but it's not scary."

Her son says he might participate in this year’s show, Gunn says, adding the goal is to perform a high-quality comedy show that is all-inclusive and non-offensive.

The Panic Squad and Klassen tested the idea of a comedy combo tour last year with some events in central British Columbia. The show received an enthusiastic response.

They will be performing in our sanctuary, Gunn says, adding it has excellent seating.

Tickets for the two-hour performance are $15 each. They are available at Re/Max Country Lakes Realty and the Bethel Pentecostal Church.
