It's the first weekend of May and there's lots to do and see in Pentiction.
Here's what's happening from May 2 to 4:
BCHL's Interior Conference finals (May 2 and 3)
The Penticton Vees host the Brooks Bandits for the first two games of the Interior Conference finals on Friday and Saturday.
The winner of the best-of-seven, third-round series will advance to the Fred Page Cup finals and play either Victoria Grizzlies or Chilliwack Chiefs.
Puck drop on Friday is at 7 p.m. Saturday's action will begin at 6 p.m.

Opening day for junior tennis players (May 3)
Local tennis programs open for the season on Saturday in Penticton.
The Penticton Tennis Club is hosting about 40 players at 675 Marina Way. from 11 a.m. to noon.
The club is also hosting its first high-performance programs of the year from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The Doobie Brothers Experience (May 3)
A tribute and celebration of the Dobbie Brothers' music comes to Cleland Theatre in Penticton on Saturday.
Expect to hear the band's greatest hits performed by live tribute musicians.
The show starts at 7:30 p.m. and tickets can be purchased at valleyfirsttix.com.
Elvis Gospel concert (May 3)
Chillwack's Steve Elliott, who has previously performed at Penticton's famed Elvis Festival, brings an Elvis Gospel concert to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church on Saturday.
The show starts at 7 p.m. at 1370 Church St.

Tempest Theatre hosts 'The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals' (May 2 to 3)
Cat’s Paw Productions brings The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals, directed by Dawn Bassett, to Tempest Theatre this weekend.
The production is described as a horror-comedy musical. The show features a local cast and live band.
Evening shows will run on May 2 and 3 at 7:30 p.m., while a matinee is also scheduled for May 3 at 1:30 p.m.

Spring exhibitions at Penticton Art Gallery (May 2 to 4)
Community members are invited to check out four new exhibitions this weekend at the Penticton Art Gallery, located at 199 Marina Way.
The gallery's spring exhibitions will be on display until May 10.
